Explanation of Dues
Local Troop Registration - Most of this goes to the national organization to pay for our troop's number of registered boys and our yearly re-charter fee. This also covers a benevolence fee and other materials to reduce the cost of various activities through the year.
Local Dues - Local dues are used to pay for supplies used in our weekly meetings. This is one part of the overall dues that our local troop gets full advantage of.
Annual National Registration Fee - This is paid directly to the national TL USA organziation. It provides for the operations of the national office, the Trail Life Connect website, background checks, safety program and insurance coverage through TL USA.
Other Costs to Consider

Special Troop Trips
Remember that many of these costs may be offset via Fundraising efforts.
Yes. We understand that life is busy and sometimes an hour of freedom to run an errand or take a breath is needed. We welcome boys to participate that must be dropped off for the meetings. You must come in and sign your son in, and come in to sign them out.
That being said, we want to encourage parents to become involved in the Troop. GA-2016 exists because of volunteer parents who give their time to organize activities and participate in the weekly Troop meetings. There are many levels of involvement, and none of them are unimportant. Maybe you are comfortable being a registered adult who can function as an official "Two Deep" person in a Patrol. Perhaps you are able to teach a particular badge because it is an interest of yours. Some can take on leadership of a Patrol and plan activities from week to week. The point is that the Troop needs you! As you settle into Troop membership please speak with existing leadership to find out how you can help!
